Make Life Easier – Accessorize!

Working with so many integrators and a variety of diverse applications, Alba has become accustom to providing many peripheral components that add value to our conveyors. Many times our customers do not really have the time in their project schedules to add these components once the conveyors are delivered because they are trying to focus on many other aspects of the overall project. This is where Alba excels and adds value for our customers; hence, saving time and making project work-flow a little easier. Alba offers a wide variety of accessories that can be added – pre-mounted and prewired – before shipping. An example of a value-added item is the addition of photo-eyes. We can provide our standard brand sensors or sensors specified in project. Subsequently, all devices can be pre-mounted and pre-wired to a junction box which is also pre-mounted to the side of the conveyor.

Typically, we provide the photo-eyes with quick-disconnect (QD) cables for easy removal. All junction boxes come complete with DIN rail-style mounted terminal strips where our customers can easily terminate wires from their main control panel (side note: a DIN rail is a metal rail of a standard type widely used for mounting circuit breakers and industrial control equipment inside equipment racks).

Many times, the project requires a remote motor disconnect mounted near each motor. Alba can provide these disconnects as well as the wiring from the motor to the disconnect and the wiring from the disconnect to the junction box. These little extras add up to big savings and time; especially, when you have to get the system up and running at the end user’s site or get an acceptance test on your plant floor.

In addition to the range of devices that can be added to our conveyors, Alba offers other value-added items such as end stops, pop-up blade stops or pin stops, empty pallet pushers, tread plates, and fork truck barriers. Our fixed-channel end stops can be provided with or without fork truck cutouts for stopping pallets and allowing loading/unloading from the conveyor's end. Our pop-up stops come in many different configurations depending on the type of conveyor being used. We offer side pushers for empty pallet justification on a wide variety of robotic palletizing applications. Alba can provide tread plates between rollers or between strands of chain for easy maintenance and access.

Many of these accessories add value and function to an otherwise standard conveyor. By having Alba provide these accessories, we can help reduce installation time and simplify project details without adding to the delivery/lead time.
